Participating with the fire company, the Ladies Auxiliary is involved in many community events as well as parades and Fire Prevention week activities, to name a few. The ladies also serve an important support role within the fire company. For instance, the Auxiliary may be called upon to assist the firefighters when they are on an extended call, by providing food and drinks and other comfort to help sustain firefighting or rescue efforts. This is but one example of how the Ladies Auxiliary plays an important role in the department because of the volunteer support they give to the fire company.

Being a member of the Getzville Ladies Auxiliary is not only is a great way to show our support for the fire company in which our father or spouse belongs and spends many hours, it is great way to meet and get to know the wives and daughters of his brother firefighters. Through community service and social engagement, the ladies of the Getzville Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary share and become closer as friends and neighbors.
