Explorer Post 111

Explorer Post 111

Explorer Post 111, offers teenagers ages, 14 to 18, a chance to explore becoming a firefighter or emergency medical technician. Members of Getzville Fire Company's Explorer post train in first aid and many aspects of firefighting and rescue skills. Explorers not only get a chance to train and interact with their peers, but also with the volunteer firefighters of the Getzville Fire Company. Personal growth, leadership development and community service opportunities are also widely encouraged. Camaraderie, friendship and respect are some of the personal benefits of being members of the post.

Our New BannerPreparedness and training are important elements in the emergency services arena. Training and development are also important to our success as an Explorer post. Training is not all our explorers do. Members of our explorer troop also participate in firematic competition and activities with other Explorer units. Our Explorers also active participants in many fire company activities and projects. The young women and men of our Explorer troop contribute in many ways to local community projects with the fire company and as a unit. Whenever safety and security, and other factors permit, Explorers are invited to respond on fire or EMS calls along with the firefighters of the Getzville Fire Company.

If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about our programs or joining may contact Explorer Post 111 through the Getzville Fire Company or by email. We welcome any interested teenager who lives within the Getzville Fire district and is between the ages 14 and 18 to join with us.
